Which is the Best HDTV?

The answer is ……..   “that depends”…….

Best HDTV?  Tough question.  Now don’t be disappointed that there is not a cut and dried answer waiting for you in this first paragraph.  After all this is the-best-HDTV.com.

The Reason there is no easy answer…

With all these HDTV's (and more) to choose from how do you find the best HDTV?

John evaluating HDTV's

You find your HDTV by becoming an educated buyer.

There are so many variables.  But help is in this website.  It will lead you through the process of making a decision which is the best HDTV for you.

I work hard to stay current on HDTV's and which one is the best HDTV.  In the picture above, I am doing "field research".  I can't buy them all, but the big stores are my laboratory where I compare HDTV's.

Just a few of the things to consider when shopping for an HDTV.

  • Did you know that just the size and shape of the room where you plan to install your new HDTV is something that you must consider?

  • Did you know that usually purchasing a 1080p set in a small screen size is a waste of money?  Smaller flat screen LCD HDTV’s do not need to be 1080p since 720p on a small screen looks great.  Save money on a smaller HDTV.  Don’t buy the 1080p model.

Why should you be shopping for the best HDTV?

Because your old analog television will not work after June 12, 2009 without a special converter (This was originally set for February 17, 2009, but was extended by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009, signed into law by President Obama on February 17, 2009).

Many people are shopping for an HDTV because after June 12, 2009 , the U. S. Government will no longer allow the old style television signal (called analog signal) to be broadcast.  As of that date, all high power television signals will be digital.  This doesn’t mean you have to put you old analog sets set on the junk pile.  It will just need a little help to continue to receive the old style signal.  The U. S. Government will give you two $40 certificates to use to purchase converter boxes, which converts digital signals to analog signals so your old set can still be used.

Many people have decided to change from their old analog set to digital to enjoy the advantages of high definition digital television.
